Frequently asked questions
Who can apply?
Individuals, groups and organisations whose project or purpose benefits the Hauraki Plains community and fits within one of our funding areas.
How much can I apply for?
There’s no set minimum or maximum. Tell us what your project needs, and we’ll assess how much we can contribute on a case-by-case basis.
Are there funding rounds or deadlines?
We don’t run set funding rounds, so general applications are welcome year-round with no closing date (this may change in future). Some specific programmes — such as our Hauraki Plains College grants and primary school rotation — do follow their own timeframes.
When will I hear back?
As soon as we can. We sometimes need to wait until a scheduled Trustees’ meeting to consider an application, and as a volunteer-run Trust we genuinely appreciate your patience.
What sorts of things aren’t funded?
Projects outside the Hauraki Plains, or that don’t clearly benefit its people. We also generally don’t fund things where central or local government funding is already available.
